Blossom Trust

Together, we bring education, healthcare and hope to those in need
Our Mission: Empowering underpriveged students to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential through accessible education and dedicated support

How We Make Every Donation Count

We operate with minimal overheads to ensure maximum impact

  • All trustees personally cover the charity’s running costs, meaning 100% of donations go directly to our projects
  • Every office bearer serves as a volunteer, so we do not pay UK salaries
  • We fund our own travel and subsistence, ensuring all funds benefit the children
  • Legal and accountancy services are generously donated by volunteers
  • We operate without paid staff in both the UK and Sri Lanka, keeping our organisation lean and focused on our mission

Our Team and Principles

Motivated by our upbringing and committed to making a difference

  • We are a group of professionals fortunate to have experienced peaceful childhoods, quality education, and reliable healthcare. Having witnessed the impact of natural disasters, political conflict and social division, we are driven to give back
  • We believe
    • Every child is precious and deserves equal support, regardless of race or religion
    • Education is the most powerful path out of poverty
    • Women facing hardship deserve dignity, opportunity and hope

Blossom Trust supported a single mother with children who struggled to fulfil bulk orders of string hoppers due to limited kitchen facilities. We provided necessary equipment, including gas stoves and cylinders, enabling her to expand her business and triple her earnings.

Olirumvaalvu, a charity organization in Thunukkai, Sri Lanka, supports physically challenged children and their families. Blossom Trust assisted by funding the purchase of a wheelchair-accessible coach to transport children to the daycare centre for essential welfare and education.

Sri Aathi Manikkappillaiyar Aarnery School in Chenkalady, Sri Lanka, offers moral education and academic support to local students. Blossom Trust funded the construction of separate toilet facilities for male and female students and teachers, addressing their essential sanitation needs.
