Widow’s Empowerment Project (2016 – 2018)

Home -Accomplishments

Trust implemented and delivered a holistic program between 2016 and 2018 empowering widows to become self-sufficient, whilst simultaneously increasing their physical and mental well-being.
Trust aided three villages Mayavanoor, Konavil and Kolunthu Pilavu of Killinochi district, by providing sustainable water facilities, plantations, and livestock for these displaced widows and their families who were living in the IDP camps in Vanni District. About 43 displaced widows and their families have benefitted from this project.
