Vanni (Sri Lanka) experienced extreme post-war poverty. The war severely affected the livelihoods of local people, which is especially evident in the quality of education.

School children faced major setbacks in developing their English language skills. To address this, Blossom Trust partnered with a local charity to run a six-month English Language Program in several villages in the Vanni District for children aged between 8 and 11 years. In addition, monthly workshops were organized for children on topics such as dialogue, poetry composition, drama, and storytelling.
