Widow’s Empowerment Project (2016 – 2018)
The Trust implemented and delivered a holistic program between 2016 and 2018, empowering widows to become self-sufficient while also enhancing their physical and mental well-being.
The Trust supported three villages—Mayavanoor, Konavil, and Kolunthu Pilavu—in the Kilinochchi District by providing sustainable water facilities, plantations, and livestock to displaced widows and their families living in IDP camps in the Vanni District.
In total, about 43 displaced widows and their families have benefited from this project.
